Originally from Cork in Ireland, Darragh has a Post Graduate Diploma in Cooperative Organisation, Food Marketing and Rural Development.
He made the leap across the Irish Sea to Scotland in order to work more closely with local food organisations, busying himself with voluntary work and the enigmatically named ‘Project Broccoli’. He joined Real Foods in order to expand his practical experience and complement his academic credentials; the focus on local, organic and Fairtrade products was the perfect fit for him.
Away from all things food related, Darragh is a keen music lover and is, more often than not, in charge of the webshop radio. He also assures us that he is a master guitar player, but tragically/conveniently left his guitar in Ireland. As such we can neither confirm nor deny these claims…
Darragh’s motto is ‘Bígí dearfach, bígí fánach, bígí láidir, bígí cinnte’. Translated from Gaelic, this means ‘Be positive, be patient, be strong and be sure’. He also likes falafel.
