Strawberry and Cherry Cream

Views: this recipe has been read 203 times Summary: Cherries and strawberries are both in season in summer. This easy recipe combines them with cream and a touch of Pimms for a perfect summery snack.

Ingredients

Enough cherries and fresh strawberries for 4 people
150ml double cream
1 tablespoon (15ml / ½ ounce) sugar
4 sprigs fresh mint (optional)
2 tablespoons Pimms or brandy (optional)

1 hour and 10 minutes

Cooking Instructions

Remove the stalks from the cherries. Wash well. Stone the cherries by cutting in half to remove it, or use a cherry stoner.

Wash the strawberries. Remove the green stalk. Slice them to your own taste!

Unless the cherries and strawberries are really sweet, put them in a bowl and sprinkle the sugar over it, add the Pimms or brandy and mix.

Leave for around an hour at room temperature. This allows the juices to be released, to form a sauce.

Whip the cream until it forms soft peaks. Spoon over the fruits and serve with the sprig of mint and a few strawberries to garnish.

Eat!
