Traditional Japanese Wheat Free Reishi And Miso Soup Recipe

This is the traditional miso soup served in Japanese restaurants, enriched with immune boosting reishi mushroom powder.

4 tbsp or 1/4 cup miso More products
1 tbsp reishi mushroom powder More products
2 cloves garlic, crushed More products
2 spring onions, sliced thin OR

about 100g of fresh shiitake mushrooms, sliced as thin as you can More products
200g firm tofu, diced Available only in our Edinburgh shops More products
4 cups freshly boiled water
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil More products

Method

  • Prepare all the ingredients and boil the water.
  • Put the miso in a large bowl or pan. Add about 1/2 cup of the freshly boiled water. Stir until the miso is dissolved.
  • Add all the other ingredients and pour the remaining boiling water. Serve hot.
