Cinnamon fruit porridge

Oats are full of soluble fibre, they release their energy slowly so you feel full for longer.

You will need

IngredientAdd
40g porridge oats More products
water
1/2 -1 tsp ground cinnamon More products
1 tbsp mix of seeds such as:
sunflower seeds More products
pumpkin seeds More products
flaxseed More products
Any fruit chopped or whole berries

Method

  • Place twice the volume of water to oats in a pan with the oats.
  • Bring to the boil then simmer gently stirring all the time until porridge thickens and oats soften.
  • Stir in the cinnamon and seed mix pour the porridge into bowls and scatter the fruit over the top.
  • The cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar levels.
