Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

680g fresh broccoli, cut into bite size pieces More products
15g soft light brown sugar More products
75g butter Available only in our Edinburgh shops More products
45ml tamari soy sauce More products
10ml white wine vinegar More products
2 cloves garlic minced More products
0.5g ground black pepper More products
80g chopped cashews More products

Method

  • Place the broccoli into a large pot with about 2.5 cm of water in the bottom.
  • Bring to the boil and cook for 7 mins, or until tender but still crisp.
  • Drain and arrange broccoli on a serving plate.
  • While the broccoli is cooking, melt the butter in a small frying pan over medium heat.
  • Mix in the brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, pepper and garlic.
  • Bring to the boil then remove from the heat.
  • Mix in the cashews and pour over the broccoli.
  • Serve immediately.
