About Organic Pinto Beans

Pinto Beans are a speckled variety of kidney bean. Use in their place in salads and chillies.

Cooking Instructions: Soak overnight. Rinse. Boil briskly in fresh water for at least 10 minutes. Simmer for approximately 40 minutes until tender.

I found the guide to pulses particularly helpful and it gave me the confidence to branch out and try different types of beans. These pinto beans are now a firm favourite and the extra time taken soaking and cooking them is well worth the effort.
