About Wheat Free Muesli no sugar added

Real Foods Wheat Free Muesli is designed to our own delicious recipe. Excellent as a source of fibre, vitamins and minerals, this tasty muesli has added crunch from the pumpkin seeds and is naturally sweetened with apples, raisins, dates, currants and sultanas. The slow release of energy is ideal to start your day with. No sugar added.

Oats have been proven to aid in reducing 'bad' or LDL cholesterol both from their good levels of soluble and insoluble fibre and also from their high beta-glucan content. Beta-glucans are sugars (or polysaccharides if we're being technical) found in oats that have been proven to reduce cholesterol absorption and improve the body's immune response. Barley, Oats and Oatbran help to give a feeling of satiety or fullness which can help if you are watching your weight or reducing calories. They also make a brilliant breakfast, because they'll get you through until lunchtime happily! Dried fruit adds sweetness (this is a no added sugar muesli) and valuable vitamins to the muesli. The nuts and seeds add crunch and a portion of 'good' fats to your body. Many people like to soak muesli overnight to help break down enzymes and give the muesli a softer bite. Try one of our extensive range of nut milks or add natural or coconut yoghurt for a fresh and tasty breakfast

Found out recently that I'm type 2 diabetic. Bought this thinking as it was "No added Sugar" and that I'd be eating a healthy breakfast.

Big mistake, naive I agree but I didn't realise until I started feeling unwell that the dried fruits are loaded with sugars and my own blood sugars went haywire until I stopped eating it.

Diabetic beware and I'm now making my own muesli which is sugar free (or very low at least) and lovely

When I discovered that I had a wheat allergy I thought that muesli would be a thing of the past. How wrong I was. Not only wheat free but delicious as well.

I find it really difficult to choose between this lovely muesli and porridge for breakfast. Both keep you going until lunch and both taste delicious. In the end I make the choice based on how long I lay in bed after the alarm has gone off.
