Roasted Whole Hazelnuts from Real Foods. Roasting brings out the flavour of the hazelnuts (also known as cobnuts). Hazelnuts, having a special combination of oil rich in oleic acid and vitamin E, have several important health benefits, in particular, reducing your risks of cardiovascular diseases. Hazelnuts are also rich in proteins, carbohydrate, beta-sitosterol and B1, B2 and B6 vitamins.

Try roasted hazelnuts as a snack or add them to your favourite fruit and nut mixes to perk them up. They're lovely as a crunchy topping to a salad and have an amzing affinity with chocolate, try making hazelnut and chocolate cookies, cakes or biscuits and you'll see what we mean!

Summary: What I love about these brownies is that although they are as rich and dense as the traditional variety, these are chock-full of goodness : the nutrition deprived ingredients in a typical brownie recipe are replaced by highly nutritious whole foods. Moira Hunt Roasted hazelnuts are a great snack any time and I love them added to a nut roast. Try out any of the recipes on the site - I've tried them all and can't decide which I prefer!
