Summary: Adzuki (or Aduki, or azuki, or English Red Mung) Beans are a very common ingredient in Asian desserts, Japanese in particular, where it is the main ingredient for anko, sweetened red bean paste. High in fibre and protein, Adzuki beans are also a good source of Folate, Potassium, Magnesium and B vitamins. And they happen to have a floury texture and naturally taste slightly sweet, making them a really good alternative to flour in these nutrition packed, delicious fudgy wholefood brownies.
Summary: A great energy boosting breakfast or post-workout smoothie, naturally sweetened with dates and banana. Use raw cacao nibs for a real raw cacao kick.
