About Goji Berries

Goji berries are also known as Wolfberries, Lycium berries and Gou Ji Zi berries. They have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.

Goji Berries are high in antioxidants, carotenoids and vitamin C, they are also rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E, amino acids and contain trace minerals (including zinc, iron and copper). Introduced into Britain in the 1700s by the Duke of Argyll, they continue to grow wild in hedgerows today!

Potential medicinal benefits have been shown in studies regarding its antioxidant properties, including possible protection against cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases, vision-related diseases, having neuroprotective properties or as an anticancer.

Goji Berries may interfere with medications, if you are using blood thinners (such as warfarin) or are on diabetes or blood pressure medications, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before adding to your diet.
