Broccoli sprouts contain a naturally-occurring compound called sulforaphane glucosinolate, which is thought to contain an antioxidant action which is helpful in maintaining a healthy circulatory system. As well as being nutritionally beneficial they have a fresh taste and make an interesting addition to salads and other dishes.
New Broccoli seeds contain vitamins: A, B, C, D, E, and K, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate, potassium, zinc, carotene and chlorophyll. 1oz contains as much antioxidants as 3lb of whole broccoli!
How to use Broccoli seeds for sprouting:
Before sowing, rinse thoroughly in fresh water.
Amount per tray / jar: 1 tablespoons of seeds
Temperature: 18 - 22C
Water: Twice daily
Ready to eat: After approximately 4 to 6 days.
