About Organic Potato Robinta

Round red skinned with creamy white flesh. A versatile all rounder in the kitchen, its skins fade to rusty-beige during cooking with a soft, dry texture and mildly nutty flavour. Best for baking, roasting and mashing. Despite the potatoes popular reputation as a high-carbohydrate, white starch food, they are in fact an exceptionally healthful low calorie, high fibre food that offers protection against cardiovascular disease and cancer. Potatoes also contain a variety of phytonutrients that have antioxidant activity. They are also a good source of vitamin B6, copper, potassium and manganese.

These potatoes are a bit small for peeling and mashing I think - but give them a good scrub and then boil them whole (or cut the bigger ones in half) and they make an excellent addition to any meal.
