About Rooibos Tea Leaves
Rooibos Tea Leaves. Rooibos, in English 'Red Bush', tea is grown exclusively in the Western Cape region of South Africa, where it has grown wild for centuries. The Rooibos plant produces a tea that is high in vitamins and minerals and is naturally caffeine-free.
Rooibos gained popularity during WWII when difficulties in getting tea supplies from Asia forced drinkers to find an alternative. It has a soft, but at the same time tart, flavour with top notes of oranges and dried hay. Rooibos offers a great combination of health and flavour.
