About Organic Raw Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil from Real Foods. This is a pure form of virgin coconut oil that has not been hydrogenated, bleached, refined or deodorised. It can be used in cooking, baking and added raw to recipes and meals. Coconut oil has long been recognised as a healthy nutrition option and is equally kind to the outside of the body as a skin or hair conditioner.

Coconut oil is known as an 'energy fat', embraced by dieters, athletes, and body builders. Rich in Lauric acid (about 50%), coconut oil is processed in the liver where it is converted directly into energy. Coconut oil is anti-viral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal. Coconut oil can provide a quick boost in energy and the valuable medium chain triglycerides will help reduce inflammation and strengthen immunity. It is high in fat, but it is fat in medium chain fatty acids, not the trans fatty acids that can be so damaging.

The supplier has confirmed that this is a raw product and not processed at heats above 42 degrees.

Tastes nice. Good balance between quality, quantity and price. Product of more than one country.

This is a very manageable  o il. It melts in th palm of th hand, so if yu want to massage your skin or hair, it;s easy to put  alittle bit in your hand and run with the other hand.
This is a very pure oil, it tastes beautiful. I put it raw in my vegetables to have my dose to help smoothing my digestion. I had reflux, but as I started with a teaspoon of oil, the reflux has disappeared and my digestion has balanced , constipation has eased completely. I feel at ease with this marvellous oil. A litttle bit on my face makes it feel good after shaving. It's really an all round remedy, so pleasant too. Highly recommended.

I like this coconut oil too and it is very well priced at the moment! Also, Real Foods kindly found out for me that their supplier says that all their produce is harvested by human hand and in some instances mechanised technology is used. (This means that Monkeys aren't made to pick the coconuts and don't spend their lives on a tether in case they run away.)

This coconut oil is so delicious I have to stop myself from eating it straight out of the jar! Great for cooking, smoothies, anything you can think of. Lovely smooth taste, and great price too.

fantastic oil. Good price too.

I love this coconut oil, partly because it comes in a sturdy glass jar so you can spoon it straight out or put it in a bowl of hot water to liquefy it - MUCH better than a bottle! Useful stuff, and oddly amazing on popcorn

Bought a jar of this and have been using it for everything! Really versatile and not just for cooking... 5 stars every time.

This coconut oil is the best I have tasted yet, superb quality I have taken it for a while now to support my thyroid condition, I use it as a mouthwash every morning to clean my mouth and you have to spit it out to remove the bacteria that it has collected from your mouth, my teeth have all tightened up.  I cook everything with it and it is much healthier as it does not burn at high temperatures. I also use it on my husband's skin as he has severe eczema and it is a marvellous moisturiser and no nasty products added as there is in normal eczema products. I cured my little dogs pyoderma with coconut oil. It is amazing stuff. Try it you wont be disappointed

I like that this coconut oil comes in a glass jar, as I stay away from plastic packaging as much as possible.

Coconut oil is one of the healthiest oils to cook with. It is also great for raw food preparation, where the oil has to be gently warmed before being incorporated in anything from soups to cakes to chocolates. It is Real Foods brand, so you can buy as little (for freshness) or as much (for value) as you want. Even the small sizes are great value, without compromising on quality, as this is organic extra virgin coconut oil. Coconut oil is also great for dry hair and skin. You can use it to condition split ends, as a facial cleansing oil (will gently remove even waterproof mascara) and to make your own deodorant (basically coconut oil + bicarbonate of soda), as coconut oil has natural antibacterial properties.

Raw Vegan Tropical Mango And Passion Fruit Cheesecake Recipe

Summary: Raw Cheesecakes are perhaps the most popular Raw Vegan desserts, and with reason. They are amazingly delicious, really easy to make, and they are so much better for you than a traditional cheesecake. This Raw Vegan Mango And Passion Fruit Cheesecake is no exception : the mango flavoured crust is chewy yet crunchy, the mango cream is delicious and velvety smooth, and the passion fruit topping is tangy and adds a great crush when you bite into the seeds.

Flourless Aduki Beans and Toasted Hazelnuts Brownies Recipe

Summary: Adzuki (or Aduki, or azuki, or English Red Mung) Beans are a very common ingredient in Asian desserts, Japanese in particular, where it is the main ingredient for anko, sweetened red bean paste. High in fibre and protein, Adzuki beans are also a good source of Folate, Potassium, Magnesium and B vitamins. And they happen to have a floury texture and naturally taste slightly sweet, making them a really good alternative to flour in these nutrition packed, delicious fudgy wholefood brownies.

Raw Vegan Snack Spirulina Cacao And Coconut Energy Balls Recipe

Summary: Raw vegan energy balls and bars are super easy to make, very versatile, and make great after dinner treats and midday or post workout snacks. For a basic fail-proof recipe, simply use equal amounts of nuts or seeds and dried fruits, and add a little of as many flavourings as you desire : food-grade essential oils, super foods or spices. These Spirulina, Cacao and Coconut energy balls are a great combination, as the sweetness of the dates, Brazil nuts and desiccated coconut perfectly balance the bitterness of the cacao nibs, and the relatively modest amount of spirulina beautifully blends in without being overpowering. Do try them as an evening treat or as a mid-morning / mid-afternoon or post-workout snack. Makes about 12 energy balls.
