Bourgogne Blanc, Emmanuel Giboulot AC (Burgundy)
A well rounded dry Burgundy made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (known locally as Pinot Beurot - a name which refers to the golden/rosy colour of the grapes). The vines are on west facing slopes in the commune of Pommard, near Beaune. Fermentation takes place 'sur lie' in oak barrels in which the wine ages for a further ten months. The wine has good crisp definition with lively, lees-y fruit and some depth.
Grape varieties: Pinot Gris/Chardonnay
