A rich, refreshing blend of Fairtrade tea from East Africa. Perfect in the mornings, or an afternoon cuppa to take the chill away.
About the Producer: Most of our teas come from sources in East Africa, especially Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. In Tanzania the major supplier is Kibena, which has excellent wages and conditions. In Uganda the suppliers were initially two factories (Kayonza and Igara), which buy from smallholders who are also shareholders. Two similar Ugandan factories (Mpanga and Mabale) began supplying us in 2000. In Kenya the supplier is Kiegoi.
All products carrying the Fairtrade Mark meet certified standards set by the international body Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International (FLO).The majority of Traidcraft tea comes from suppliers on the FLO register. This includes estates with good wages and conditions for workers, and factories buying from small-scale growers on fair terms. Traidcraft provides a support and development programme for the producer organisations involved.
