About Fruit Sugar

A natural sugar that you can use in smaller amounts, for hot and cold cereals, cold drinks, jams, jellies and baking. Use one third less than ordinary sugar when cooking. Fruit sugar, or Fructose, takes longer to break down into glucose, resulting in a slower release of sugar/energy and therefore less work for your body in producing insulin. This will reduce the likelihood of blood sugar lows and be better for your body's organs.

Fruisana Fruit Sugar is classified as being low G.I. as it has a Glycaemic Index of 19, compared to glucose with a G.I. of 100, and table sugar, or sucrose, with a GI of 65.
