About Organic Red Wine Cabernet Sauvignon South Africa Running Duck 13.5% Vegan, FairTrade,

This Cabernet Sauvignon is organic, Fairtrade and sulphur and preservative free but the most important thing is that it is quite delicious. Made from organic grapes, lovely pure cassis and raspberry flavours offer a fresh intensity that is reminiscent of Beaujolais. The palate does not disappoint either. Filled with red berry fruit flavours and an impressively long finish.

There are no compromises on ethics and production values, and the farms are kept and managed in as natural a state as possible. A walk through the vineyards bears testament to this; the leaves on the vines are healthy and species of insects are varied and abundant. A soil examination reveals masses of earthworms - all indications of a healthy ecosystem. Indian Runner ducks are kept in the Stellar vineyards to control snails.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has a very dark red hue. The nose has hints of forest floor and roasted red bell pepper preserved in olive oil. Nice entry with vanilla and smooth tannins. A good food wine.

Freya Whitehouse This is one of my daughter's favourite red wines. So much so that we chose to serve it at her wedding. It also works very well for mulled wine which we also served as her wedding was in December.
