Solgar was founded more than 60 years ago, and today our products are distributed in more than 50 countries. Solgar UK is based in Tring, Hertfordshire. From here we have a support and distribution team for the UK, Ireland and Europe.
It all started in 1947, when two pharmacists and an holistic physician shared the belief that it is better to prevent diseases with vitamins and minerals than to treat them with pharmaceuticals. Today, that notion has gained widespread acceptance; at the time, it was nothing short of ground-breaking.
Our expansive range of science-based health products are based on the latest clinical trials and backed by rigorous scientific evidence, setting a “gold standard” for product quality and attention to detail within the vitamin and mineral industry. Although these "old style" medicine bottles cost more, we use them because they provide the best protection possible against heat, light, and moisture, preserving nutrient potency.

Our award winning innovation was most recently recognized in Solgar Full Spectrum Curcumin 185x which was awarded Best New Product at the 2015 Natural Pharmacy Business Product Awards. And Solgar’s commitment does not end there. The packaging materials used for deliveries are recycled egg cartons and newspaper off-cuts of recycled paper. We’ve been carbon neutral since 2000, planting about 10,000 saplings to counter emissions from deliveries and company cars. Solgar also invests in carbon-credit offset projects and has invested in projects across the globe, including wind farms and solar energy schemes.
